Christmas Markets Are Coming Back

While the first half of 2021 may have dragged as we all stayed at home during lockdown, the days are now flying by as we head towards Christmas.

Last year families were prevented from spending time together during the festive period as lockdowns were announced for much of the country, while people were urged to stay at home and no travel to see loved ones.

But with the big day now less than 100 days away, it’s time to start thinking ahead to how we’re going to celebrate as the nation looks to make up for lost time.

The Return of Christmas Markets

As there are currently no plans for another lockdown in the UK, it is likely that families can once again gather together at the most wonderful time of the year.

And that means the return of Christmas markets,  which were absent from our towns and cities 12-months ago but look set to return with a bang this time around.

Over the last decade or so, Christmas markets have become a tradition in towns and cities across the country offering a range of food, drink and gifts ideas for the whole family.

London

London Winter Wonderland Christmas Market

As one of London’s most popular Christmas markets, those looking to head to Winter Wonderland will be delighted to hear that it’s back on Friday, November 19, with its boozy tents, rides, and games.

There’s one catch as you’ll need to pre-book the date and entry time, as well as which attractions you’ll be visiting within the venue.

Bath

Bath Christmas Market

Another favourite is the Bath Christmas Market, which is back from Tuesday, November 25, in the heart of Bath – which is a ticketless event featuring food, music, a sustainable market, and plenty more.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh Christmas Market

And, one of the most magical Christmas markets in Britain is Edinburgh’s East Princess Street Gardens Market, which will see festive huts lined up filled with treats, as well as food and drink, plus a Ferris wheel so you can see the sights.

Birmingham

Birmingham Christmas Market

Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is also returning on Thursday, November 4, and will run until just before Christmas located in Victoria Square and New Street.
